Bury St Edmunds - Industrial Estate (1 / 16):

Bury St Edmunds - Industrial Estate

This is an industrial area to the north west of Bury St Edmunds town centre. The general view of this estate reveals the close relationship between housing, industry and golf club leisure facilities at the edge of town. Here good roads allow easy access by car and lorry. The ease of access is an important locational factor for all three types of land use shown here.

The A1101 leading to Fornham All Saints is clearly seen in the picture while the A14 is only five minutes away. Most of Bury is within fifteen minutes by car. The industrial units are relatively large and contain a variety activities including manufacturing, warehousing and distribution. Compare this to other modern industrial estates at Hadleigh, Ipswich and Haverhill.
