Haverhill - Duddery Hill 3 (3 / 2a):

Haverhill - Duddery Hill 3

The IFF works near to Haverhill town centre produces chemical scents and flavourings.

The modern expansion of Haverhill has brought many people to this previously small Suffolk market town. Despite the engineering and textile base of its economy new industries needed to be attracted to the town to provide work for the large numbers of new people who moved to Haverhill in the 1960's and 70's. This is part of a large industrial estate that was built on the South of the town at Duddery Hill. IFF is the biggest employer in the area. Compare this to the industrial estates at Hadleigh, Brantham or Bury St Edmunds.
