Felixstowe - Docks Centre (16 / D25):

Felixstowe - Docks Centre

In this view the entrance to the dock basin can clearly be seen along with a ship berthed at a Ro-Ro terminal. The land on this estuary is very flat and has been reclaimed from marshland in the mouth of the River Orwell.

Look for the container parks, warehouses, tank farms for the storage of fuel oils and parking areas for the import of foreign cars.

The dark area of water (left) that appears to be pollution is probably only mud stirred up by the boat berthing nearby. Trinity container terminal is seen on the left hand side and Languard terminal in the lower right.
