Newmarket - The Race Course

The main buildings of Newmarket race course are clearly shown including stabling, parade ring, car parking and part of the race track. This is on the outskirts of Newmarket which is World famous for horse-racing, training and breeding.

This is a major local employer and tourist attraction for the local economy. Newmarket has 15,000 inhabitants and 3,000 horses. Every fourth person in the town is connected in one way or another with the racing industry, as stable lads, jockeys, trainers, saddlers or dealers. Many of the buildings in the town are connected with racing such as the Severals and stabling yards.
