This is a close up view of part of the Charles Manning amusement park on Sea Road, Felixstowe. This funfair attracts more than 250,000 visitors a year and has been a landmark in the town for more than 50 years.
In the foreground of the image you can see part of the promenade with traffic passing the amusement park. Some of the attractions such as the helter skelter and the amusement arcade can clearly be seen. The area of land to the left of the park is at the moment derelict awaiting redevelopment.
This is a traditional seaside amusement park. Suffolk also has a much larger amusement park at Pleasurewood Hills near Lowestoft. |
