Debenham - Village Centre:

Debenham - Village Centre

This is the small town of Debenham to the north of Ipswich. The whole of the central part of the town is seen with the High Street (B1077) running diagonally from the bottom left to the top right. The church is right in the centre of the image.

This is a small traditional market town with many old buildings in the centre though newer residential developments have extended the settlement on the left (west) of the image.

A small area of industry is visible in the lower right though most of the buildings are houses. The dark area at the bottom of the image is where the River Deben has flooded the low lying meadows in it's flood-plain.
