Felixstowe Ferry - Golf Course (17 / I7):

Felixstowe Ferry - Golf Course

This is looking towards the estuary of the River Deben from over the North Sea.

The bunkers of Felixstowe Ferry golf course can be seen along with the village and the road linking the village to the town.

The process longshore drift has deposited shingle on the southern side of the mouth Deben where the currents are weaker. This is an interesting area as the sea defences at this point are some 50m inland of the sea.

Two Napoleonic Martello towers are to be seen on the coast though both are now in very poor condition.
