Holbrook - Village North:

Holbrook - Village North

This is the northern end of the village of Holbrook. The B1080 to Ipswich cuts horizontally across the image. Holbrook High School is just visible in the lower right while the main part of the image is the Clench Road area. This is a relatively modern development of semi-detached and terraced housing.

The buildings laid out in a rather uniform pattern at the bottom are a development of old peoples homes. The houses fronting the main road are a good example of ribbon development. The whole area is surrounded by arable farmland, the crops at various stages of maturity when the image was taken in early June.
