Bury St Edmunds - Priory School (20 / H20 / 6):

Bury St Edmunds - Priory School

This is the Priory special school to the east of Bury St Edmunds. The buildings, hard play area, car parks and sports field can be seen in the centre of the image. On the left is a residential area while on the top right is an area of woodland. The building style is similar to many other schools in Suffolk such as at Westley and Hadleigh.

The photograph was taken in late May. This is reflected by the early stage of growth of the cereal crop growing in the foreground. The unusual crop pattens are the tractor tyre marks left by the farmer recently spraying the field with a herbicide or a dressing of fertiliser. Notice how the field colours change when a crop ripens.
