Raydon - Golf Course:

Raydon - Golf Course

This is an area of once arable farmland at Raydon, to the south of Hadleigh, that has been converted into a golf course.

Some of the original field boundaries can still be seen but notice how the grass of the golf course is a different colour to the other arable fields.

Over production in the past means that farmers have been encouraged to take fields out of production as set-aside land and find other uses for their land. This is another example of changing uses of the countryside.
