Ipswich - Fransiscan Way (4 / 10):

Ipswich - Fransiscan Way

The large black building on Franciscan Way is clad in glass and has a large roof garden complete with lawn.

This is to the south west of Ipswich town centre and is an area mainly of offices though there are some older buildings and one of Ipswich's only two tower blocks.

The road pattern was laid out in the 1960's when many Victorian terraced houses were demolished to make way for the wider road. Notice Greyfriars roundabout planted with flowers.

The white building in the bottom right is the Friends Meeting House which is largely hidden at ground level.

Vacant building land is seen at the bottom left awaiting redevelopment in the future. Princes Street and Portman Road are found to the south west of here.
