Ipswich - Hadleigh Road (4 / 32):

Ipswich - Hadleigh Road

This area is to the south west of Ipswich town centre and shows Hadleigh Road and the old A12 London Road in the top right.

The central area shows railway sidings beside the main rail line to Norwich and Cambridge. The residential areas are mainly inter-war houses owned by the local authority. The line of houses on the left hand side are in private ownership and are a good example of inter-war ribbon development along a main road.

Notice the block of offices which is rather unusual in that it is located out of the town centre. The Sainsbury's superstore is also seen under construction in the top left.
