This is the part of the seafront is to the south of the town centre and extends further northwards along the Esplanade. The centre of the image is occupied by two tree lined bowling greens with a match in progress on the nearest green. An area of tennis courts can be seen in the top right along with a boating lake on the edge of the image. The building in the bottom left is occupied by the Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries and Food (M.A.F.F.) and is located here due to the towns past association with the fishing industry.
