This is part of the Esplanade and south Beach area to the south of Lowestoft town centre. The beach is clearly seen to the rear of which is the Esplanade, boating lake and car parks. In the background are rows of Victorian terraced housing most of which have been converted into hotels and guest houses and provide holiday accommodation for the tourist industry. In the background factories and shops mix with the housing and border the main road. The Esplanade continues northwards towards the Lowestoft Marina and outer harbour and southwards towards the MAFF buildings.
