This shows the Jubilee Centre and park on the banks of the River Lark to the south east of the town centre. The brightly coloured May day fair is clearly seen in progress on the playing fields. Notice how new the development is and the way the centre has been laid out with a great deal of space being given to car parking.

Most new out of town developments such as supermarkets are built like this and even town centre developments like the Buttermarket in Ipswich have been designed with the use of the car in mind. Many people now believe that we should try and restrict the number of cars coming into our town centres by introducing such things as park and ride schemes.
