Anglo Saxon Ipswich Photopack
This pack contains 18 photographs of objects found during
the excavation of an Anglo-Saxon cemetery beside Hadleigh Road in Ipswich. the
excavation was carried out by Miss Nina Layard in 1906-1907. Many of the objects
are on display at Ipswich Museum.
The pack is particularly relevant to national Curriculum
history Key Stage 2 study Unit 1: Romans, Anglo-Saxons and Vikings in Britain.
It could also be used as a resources for other parts of the programme of study
e.g. Key Stage 1 "aspects of the way of life of the people of Britain in
the past beyond living memory", or Key Stage 2 Study unit 5 Local history
"The Anglo-Saxons in the local area" or 'A' level studies of methods
of historical enquiry.
