Incorporating cultural diversity into schemes of work at Key Stages 3 and 4 can be challenging.

Obvious places to explore issues of identity and cultural diversity occur in Citizenship and Religious Education lessons, but with a little imagination, many subjects can be used as a base for learning from a range of cultures. For instance, looking at different approaches to mathematics in other parts of the world, or designs and technology based on traditions from Africa, India and China, or using authors from a range of cultural backgrounds in English.
